Fedex Plus Shipping Extension

The out-of-box Magento Fedex module gets the job done, but falls short in many ways, specifically at returning accurate shipping quotes. Inaccurate high shipping quotes can scare customers away, and low quotes can make sellers lose money by eating shipping cost. Our Fedex Plus extension adds some needed functionality to the default magento fedex module to help alleviate these issues. Below are the new options this extension adds:

• Rate Request Types
• Account Rates - When this option is selected, customers will receive discounted quotes based on your account in the shopping cart. This is useful if you'd like to pass on your discounts to your customers.
• List Rates - When this option is selected, customers will receive list rates (non-discounted) in the shopping cart.
• Insure Shipments
• When set to "Yes", insured/declared value of products in cart are sent in rate requests, returning higher shipping quotes. This is the equivalent of asking for insurance on the shipment.
• When set to "No", the insured/declared value is omitted. This is the equivalent of NOT adding insurance to your shipment.
